Azteca America premieres the soccer Futbol Liga Mexicana season to double-digit growth vs last year. Friday night, Azteca America aired back-to-back games featuring Queretaro vs Pumas (8:25p EST) and Tijuana vs Puebla (10:25p EST). The games delivered an average of 244,000 total persons, with each game delivering an increase of 38% versus the opening games last year. Other demos also showed significant year-to-year increases, with the first game delivering an increase of +51% with Persons 18-49, +65% with Males 18-49, and +100% with Males 18-34, versus the opening game last year. On KAZA, the Flagship station for the network in Los Angeles, the first game ranked #1, regardless of language, outperforming all other broadcast TV stations with Males 18-34 and Males 18-49. Similarly, the second game out delivered all other broadcast stations in the time period and ranked #1 with all key male demos: Males 18-34, Males 18-49, and Males 25-54. (2)
