  • Thirty two percent of more than 560 Ragan.com LinkedIn users cited misuse of words such as addition and edition as the most annoying in this infographic.
  • Next on the list was cliches, passive voice and trite writing (21 percent), grammar flubs (17 percent), and punctuation abuse (16 percent).
  • Other writing mistakes that get under their skin included random capitalization, redundancies, changes tenses, and double negatives.
