AMIGOS FOR KIDS CELEBRATES ITS 21st ANNUAL HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE
On Sunday, Dec. 16, Amigos For Kids, a non-profit organization committed to helping abused, abandoned and less fortunate children in South Florida, celebrates its 21st Annual Holiday Toy Drive presented by Ford Motor Company.
The Amigos For Kids Annual Holiday Toy Drive was establishes as a gift-giving program in South Florida to fulfill the individual “Wish List” of children who otherwise would not receive gifts during the holiday season. Together with the help of volunteers and corporate sponsors, Amigos For Kids collects toys and delivers more than 2,500 specific gift requests to underprivileged children in South Florida.
Once again, Santa Claus and other known celebrities will surprise the children who are part of Amigos For Kids after school programs, Branches of Love in Florida City and other community-based organizations. Returning contributor FedEx will be joining the caravan providing a truck and over 80 volunteers.
The Annual Holiday Toy Drive serves as a component of Ford’s community relations program, “Operation Goodwill.” Ford’s eight-year partnership with Amigos For Kids highlights its commitment to enhance educational opportunities, automotive safety, human services, and quality of life to the South Florida area.
