ALPFA, the premier business organization for expanding opportunities for Latino leadership in the global market, announced its Annual Convention scheduled in Las Vegas, August 11-16 at Caesar’s Palace. The four-day event, themed Shining the Light on 40 Years of Latino Leadership, will also celebrate the organization’s 40th Anniversary and feature a variety of workshops, panel discussions, product pavilion, career fair and university forum. Over 3,000 professionals and students are expected to attend the convention with nearly 100 sponsoring companies including lead sponsor Deloitte.

Women of ALPFA Luncheon – Monday, Aug. 13, Noon to 2 p.m.
A special highlight this year is the 10 year anniversary of the Women of ALPFA as it celebrates empowering women’s leadership and honors the CEO of Girl Scouts Anna Chavez with its Latina Excellence Award.
Career Fair & University Expo — Wednesday, Aug. 15, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
ALPFA invites all Latino military service veterans to the Career Fair for free. During the Career Fair and University Expo, ALPFA will host an exclusive panel discussion for Latino Veterans from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
ALPFA Awards Gala – Wednesday, Aug. 15, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Sponsored by Deloitte, the ALPFA Awards Gala promises to be the biggest celebration of the year. ALPFA will honor outstanding individuals as well as give a sneak peak to what is in store for 2013. Keynote speaker for the gala will be Maritza Montiel,
Vice Chairman and Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Deloitte LLP.
