Nely Galán, founder of The Adelante Movement for Latina economic empowerment, in association with he Hispanic Women’s Corporation (HWC), have announced that Phoenix has been chosen as the next stop of The Adelante Movement: Tour.  Presented by Coca-Cola, The Adelante Movement: Tour Phoenix is a live forum for Latinas, the emerging economic market in this country, featuring a roster of powerful and inspirational speakers headlined by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Rigoberta Menchú Tum.  The forum takes place during the Hispanic Women’s Corporation Annual Conference on Thursday, October 11 from 12:30-4:30 pm at The Sheraton Phoenix.

The Adelante Movement: Tour is a national series of live forums that bring together Latina leaders from around the country to inspire them to take action and to connect them with financial opportunities such as government contracts, franchises, jobs, start-up capital and corporate diversity contracts in order to create wealth and prosperity for their families and their communities.  Phoenix was chosen after Adelante received hundreds of emails from Arizona women requesting the tour come to their city.  www.theadelantemovement.com.

“Latinas want to grow and prosper and they are ready to step up,” says Nely Galán.  “I am grateful to my friend Linda Mazón Gutierrez and HWC for creating a national leadership venue in Phoenix.  The Adelante Movement is thrilled to be a part of this year’s conference.   I am also proud to welcome to Adelante, a woman that had the courage to run for President of her country, despite her humble beginnings.  Nobel Peace Laureate Rigoberta Menchú is truly an ordinary woman who has created an extraordinary life.  If she can do it, the women of The Adelante Movement can accomplish anything.  Her life is an inspiration to us all of what can we can achieve for ourselves and our families.”
