PRAVA Construction Awarded Supplier of the Year Award by SoCal Minority Business Development Council

PRAVA Construction Services, Inc. was awarded the prestigious Supplier of the Year Award at the 27th Supplier of the Year Awards Luncheon hosted by Southern California Minority Business Development Council (SCMBDC) last month at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel.

SCMBDC is the largest nonprofit minority business advocacy organization in Southern California and is devoted to making a positive impact in the minority business community. SCMBDC and San Diego Council are dedicated to educating and creating opportunities for minority businesses. The event celebrated SCMBDC’s mission by showcasing the outstanding performance of minority business enterprises (MBEs) in their contracts with SCMBDC corporate members.

Nominees for this award were nominated by their corporate partner and then judged based on growth & development, employment and job creation, high quality operations, business performance, products/services, and assisting MBEs. One winner is selected per category. Each class is based on annual sales of up to $1 million (Class I), between $1 and $10 million (Class II), between $10 million and $50 million (Class III), and $50 million are greater (Class IV).

PRAVA Construction Services, Inc. was the award winner for the Class II category. Less than three percent of SCMBDC-certified MBES in Southern California were nominated for this award. Nominated by Southern California Gas Company, PRAVA CEO & President, Glenn Torrez, accepted the award on behalf of PRAVA Construction Services, Inc.
