Agency has specialized in reaching Latino and Multicultural consumers for 30+ years
VPE Tradigital Communications (VPE) today announced that Maricela Cueva has been named president of the agency. Formerly the Vice President, Cueva will now lead the Latina-owned full-service agency specializing in multicultural communications. Cueva will oversee all business operations, including client services, marketing, and new business development. Patricia Pérez, the owner of the agency and former President, will continue as Chief Strategic Advisor and CEO.
“I’ve had the pleasure to work alongside Maricela for many years and have seen first-hand her ability to lead strategic change, build relationships with key influencers, and strengthen our business,” said Patricia Pérez. “It has been inspiring to see her personal growth and the results she’s driven over the years. Her integrity, high expectations, and passion for the business and our clients will ensure our continued success in the marketplace.”
Under Cueva’s dynamic leadership, the agency has won several industry awards for its public education and consumer branding campaigns including a Hermes Creative Award for Verizon Wireless.
“It’s an honor to be chosen to lead the best team of multicultural communications pros in the business,” said Cueva. “I also look forward to working closely with clients that look to establish themselves in this competitive marketing space.”
Having joined VPE in 2000, Cueva understands the complexities of managing a boutique agency and of understanding the multicultural consumer’s changing communications needs. A true communications leader, Cueva is a former president and current board member of the Hispanic Public Relations Association, Los Angeles chapter, an organization dedicated to helping diversify the communications profession.
VPE was established in 1988 as one of the first agencies dedicated to Latino marketing and public relations. Today, the agency is recognized as one of the nation’s leading cross-cultural communications firms combining traditional public relations and digital engagement strategies. VPE has represented nonprofit and public sector clients as well as Fortune 500 companies including Verizon, McDonald’s, Disney, Bank of America, and others. For more information visit www.vpepr.com.
