Nearly three years after its trailblazing launch in Dallas, Hispanicize 2012 (#HISPZ12) is moving to Miami as it transforms into THE iconic annual event for Latino trendsetters and newsmakers in social media, marketing, innovation and entertainment.

Hispanicize 2012, a partnership of the Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA), Hispanicize and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), will be held at the gorgeous JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Miami, April 11-13, 2012.

“In its third year Hispanicize 2012 will bring brands, media, agencies, celebrities, filmmakers, bloggers and innovators together in a creative environment about ideas and best practices that has never been seen before in a Hispanic event,” said creative director and event organizer Manny Ruiz.

“Hispanicize 2012 far transcends a conference and because it’s in Miami, the Hispanic media capital of the U.S. and gateway to Latin America, this event is the perfect launch pad for creative endeavors, new products, technologies, marketing campaigns, films and more targeting Latinos,” said national advisory board co-chair Jorge A. Plasencia, Chairman & CEO of República, and Vice Chair of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR).

“In addition to maintaining its status as the premier event for Hispanic communications practitioners, Hispanicize 2012 is exciting because of the expanded breadth and innovative tracks for multiple industries,” said national advisory board co-chair Mike Valdes-Fauli, President of The Jeffrey Group.

The three-day event will feature more than 50 sessions under four general tracks: Interactive, Marketing, Innovators and Entertainment.

Interactive (bloggers and social media): This track features more than 20 sessions exclusively devoted to best practices in social media and Latino bloggers.  The event will continue to aggressively build on its legacy of bringing Hispanic bloggers together with the brands, agencies and companies that want to work with them.  In addition to the blogger sessions, Hispanicize 2012 will also feature best practice programs about leveraging Facebook, Twitter and other emerging tools to engage Latino communities online.

Marketing/Public Relations: This track will showcase the largest collection of cutting-edge campaigns from the past year in Hispanic public relations and advertising, the first time both disciplines have been spotlighted this in-depth at one time.  Among the sessions will be award-winning case studies from the 2011 HPRA PRemio Awards.

Innovators: This exciting new track consists of a “Conversation With Innovators Series” will feature A-list Latino celebrities, entrepreneurs and other famous inspiring achievers.

Entertainment: Hispanicize 2012 will leverage Miami’s wealth of Latino entertainers and media as well as the event’s ability to attract a Who’s Who of Latino bloggers to help premiere select films and music talent at Hispanicize 2012.
