New Philly Videos Feature Hispanic Celebrities & Industry Leaders

uwishunu.com, the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation’s insider guide to Philly, are launching a Philly Te Ama® online video series featuring celebrity fans of the city, along with local Hispanic leaders and their thoughts on why the region is a great place to live, work and play. The three- to five-minutes videos debuting every Wednesday over the next several weeks will focus on stars from Telemundo and the Food Network, chefs, artists and musicians.

“With Hispanics embracing technology faster than any other group in the U.S. and majorly influencing the brands that do business on the Internet, we thought now was the right time to launch this fun, insightful online video series that will engage them and spark their interest in a Philadelphia visit,” says Meryl Levitz, president and CEO, GPTMC.

Here’s a look at the current people highlighted in the videos:

  • Guillermo Tellez – At Square 1682, located inside the Hotel Palomar Philadelphia, chef Tellez combines his global influences with sustainable and organic practices to create a forward-looking restaurant that’s abuzz with both locals and tourists. Tellez doesn’t hide his pride in the city’s emergence as a true dining destination. (Blog/YouTube)
  • Marangeli Mejia Rabell and Rahsaan Lucas (AfroTaino Productions) – In 2005, Rabell and Lucas founded AfroTaino Productions as a vehicle for planning, promoting and executing global arts and cultural events for clients and their audiences.
