A year after logging 12,000 miles with his family during a summer odyssey through 33 states, social media entrepreneur Manny Ruiz – aka the “PapiBlogger” – is headed on the road again.
Starting July 8, PapiBlogger will be “doing Disney” coast-to-coast and beyond the blue horizon plus several of America’s national parks during a 37-day adventure that will touch 18 states from Florida to Alaska.
During the epic family trip, geography and science class will be in session for Jonathan (11), Elena (7) and Briani (2). They will see glaciers, search for whales and bears as well as marvel at mountains and valleys on a Disney Cruise Line® vacation to Alaska and during visits to Grand Tetons National Park, Yosemite National Park, Crater Lake and North Cascades National Park. And there will be a music class, too, as they pay a visit on Graceland, the long-time home of rock-and-roll legend Elvis Presley.
The Ruiz family will travel in almost every type of transportation available to the modern family. They’ll fly, “ride the rails,” take a cruise and drive in the comfort of the “PapiMobile” – this year a fully decked out 2011 Buick Enclave, one of Consumer Report’s 2010 “Recommended Buys” for its class.

Disney Parks, which invites guests this year to create and share Disney memories as part of its “Let the Memories Begin” campaign, is serving as a sponsor for the trip. To make sure the vacation is unforgettable, the family will kick off their adventure by exploring Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, where a new nightly show, The Magic, The Memories, And You! celebrates guests in lights, music and images projected on Cinderella Castle.
Later in their trip, the family will be whisked away from Vancouver, B.C., to Alaska on the Disney Wonder® cruise ship. Then they can enjoy the new The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure attraction and the new Mickey’s Soundsational Parade at Disneyland® Resort in California prior to the West Coast-to-East Coast leg of their drive.
